Trumbull Partnership Against Underage Drinking & Drugs (TPAUD) is a community coalition dedicated to engaging and mobilizing youth, parents, and community partners to reduce youth alcohol and drugs use and create a safe and healthy community.
TPAUD’s vision is a safe, healthy, and thriving community free of underage drinking and drug use.
TPAUD is funded by a five-year Drug-Free Communities grant from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This grant provides TPAUD with funding of $125,000 per year through September, 2019 for coalition-building and prevention activities that address alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drug abuse by Trumbull youth.
Working closely with 12 community sectors, TPAUD fosters an alcohol-free and drug-free community through increased community awareness, education, and enforcement.
TPAUD serves Trumbull, CT, a town of 36,000 residents, where children and youth age 17 and under make up 26% of the population.
